At our massive family reunion held on July 30th-31st of 2016 at the Clay County Event Center in Spencer, Iowa, we announced plans for a Hans Schmidt Family Association. This association will not only preserve and further research of our family history, it will also promote the well-being and connectedness of our extended Schmidt family. Early groundwork will be laid in setting up this association in the summer of 2017, with the organization being operational by 2018.
